Full Description

TITLE: F3T1SS3225A001 Sole Source Acquisition for purchase and installation of SA-6 Straight Flush Surrogate Target Trailer Version on Seymour Johnson AFB The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to VT Milcom. The contractual action is a Sole Source Firm-Fixed price contract to purchase a SA-6 Straight Flush Surrogate Target Trailer Version, with Mid radar rotation motor and onboard gas powered electrical generator. The product weighs approximately 8,500 lbs GW. The target will break down into three pieces. It must be a full size realistic replica in shape and visual appearance. Must contain a heat source and have radar reflective properties. It will need to be durable enough to withstand Eastern North Carolina weather to include thunderstorms, wind, high salt content, etc. This replica SA-6 Straight Flush must be mounted on a towable trailer that is built to be road legal. It will need to be painted in OD Green. Contractor: VTMilcom. This purchase will be made under Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A detennination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 20 September 2013 at 11.00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated award date for this requirement is 25 September 2013.
