AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey is conducting market research to assess the availability and capability of qualified sources to supply sand and salt for delivery to the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area in Massachusetts, under NAICS Code 212321, which defines small businesses as those with 500 employees or fewer. This notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to award a contract or pay for responses, but it seeks information to determine whether a total small business set-aside is appropriate for the upcoming procurement. The intended acquisition will be a single firm-fixed-price contract with delivery required no later than five days after award, with all unloading restricted to weekdays between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, excluding holidays, and requiring two days’ advance notice to the Contract Officer Representative for coordination. Respondents must provide company details including name, address, point of contact, NAICS code, DUNS and CAGE codes, and size status under SBA standards, while confirming full understanding and capability to perform the tasks outlined in the draft Performance Work Statement. Responses are limited to two pages and must be submitted via email to James Clark, Contract Specialist, by July 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. No formal solicitation exists at this time, and submissions will not be treated as offers, but are critical to assist the government in planning the procurement strategy, which may include a small business set-aside. All inquiries should be directed to James Clark, with a secondary contact available for contracting support.
