This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 - Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2045775 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-01, Effective 10/01/2020. Background: The Vaccine Research Center (VRC) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was established to facilitate research in vaccine development. The VRC is dedicated to improving global human health through the rigorous pursuit of effective vaccines for human diseases. The mission of the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) is to conduct research that facilitates the development of effective vaccines for human disease. The Vaccine Research Center is developing vaccines for Cov2, HIV-1 and other pathogens. Production of various wild type and mutant viral proteins and anti-viral antibodies is critical in vaccine development. Making different mutations of viral proteins and expression antibodies against such proteins is critical for vaccine development. Description and purpose of the Requirement: The Vaccine Research Center (VRC) is interested in procuring Anti-human IgG Fc Capture Biosensors (Catalog # 18-5064) and Streptavidin (SA) Biosensors(Catalog # 18-5021) and Ni-NTA (NTA) Biosensors (Catalog # 18-5103) that will be used for antigenicity analysis. The biosensors will be used to detect the titers of mouse antibodies expressed by mouse B cells in 96- well culture plates. The Octet Molecular instrument is already installed at VRC. This purchase is for the biosensors that are required to run the Octect instrument. It is very critical that the same biosensors be used to preserve continuity in experiments.
