--SAS Software and Maintenance

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration plans to award a sole source contract to Executive Information Systems, LLC for a one-year period to provide SAS Software and its maintenance services, which are exclusively published by this vendor. The contract will be executed without competitive solicitation under the authority permitting negotiations with a single source due to the proprietary nature of the software. This notice serves only as an intent to award such a contract and does not represent a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements and pricing information within seven calendar days of the notice’s publication to allow the Government to consider whether to open the requirement for competition. However, any decision to compete the contract remains entirely at the Government’s discretion. The information received will primarily assist in determining the necessity of competition, and no solicitation documentation is available at this time.
