SBA increases size standards for NAICS Sector 51, Information

The Small Business Administration (SBA) has revised the receipts-based size standards for 15 industries and maintained the existing standards for five industries within NAICS Sector 51, which covers the Information sector. This update follows a thorough evaluation aimed at determining whether these standards should be adjusted. Although employee-based size standards were not reviewed in this rule, the SBA plans to address them in future assessments. The changes will result in up to 500 additional businesses qualifying as small entities, thereby making them eligible for SBA loan programs and federal procurement opportunities. These revised size standards are set to take effect on January 7, 2013.
