The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for Schaeffler Aerospace ball bearings. The compliant material is available solely from Electric Boat Corporation, as the only vendor capable of supplying the full requirement in a timely manner is Electric Boat. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Electric Boat Corporation.
