Ector County is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of one (1) replacement aircraft hangar door at Schlemeyer Field Airport, located at 200 E. Terminal Drive, Odessa, Texas. The project consists of providing a complete turnkey hangar door system to replace the existing 100-foot by 28-foot hangar door opening. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to design, construct, deliver, and install a fully operational hangar door system in accordance with the specifications contained in this Invitation for Bids (IFB). The replacement door shall be designed by a licensed structural engineer experienced in similar hangar door systems and shall include all required structural supports, operating equipment, weatherproofing, insulation, and modifications necessary for proper operation. The County intends to replace the existing hangar door with a modern, reliable system that maximizes the usable opening while maintaining compatibility with the existing hangar structure and appearance. The successful contractor shall coordinate all work required to provide a complete, functional installation. Removal of the existing hangar door is not included in this solicitation.
