Scintillometer

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Maricopa, Arizona has a requirement for one Scintillometer. Scintillometer Specifications: A Large Aperture Scintillometer (LAS) system, designed to measure near surface sensible heat fluxes is required. The LAS must consist of all-weather, separate transmitter and receiver units capable of measuring fluxes over distances between 250 m to 4000 m. The LAS must be operable with locally supplied 12 volt DC power and have self-contained logging capability. The LAS must either provide a capability to simultaneously collect weather data: air temperature, humidity, wind speed, net radiation, soil heat flux, or the capability to integrate these data from third-party equipment. Required are tripod mounts, packing cases, ancillary data and power cables, and software needed to convert observations into flux estimates.
