AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE4A6-27-T-5687, issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division, is a request for quotations for the procurement of 31 packages of hexagon head cap screws (NSN 5305013510787). The requirement specifies a need ship date of March 21, 2027, with an original required delivery date of May 2, 2027. Delivery is set as FOB Origin, with both inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination, DLA Distribution Cherry Point in North Carolina. The procurement is conducted under the First Destination Transportation program and requires adherence to specific technical and quality standards, including MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 for sampling and MIL-STD-130N for identification marking. The contract incorporates various FAR and DFARS clauses, including the Buy American Act and the Berry Amendment, and strictly prohibits the intentional addition of mercury or mercury-containing compounds in the hardware or packaging. While the solicitation is not a small business set-aside, it provides a price evaluation preference for SBA-certified HUBZone small business concerns. Packaging must comply with RP001 and MIL-STD-2073-1E, and all payment requests must be processed electronically through the Wide Area WorkFlow system. Offerors must also comply with cybersecurity requirements for safeguarding covered defense information and provide necessary safety data sheets for any hazardous materials.
