The item is classified as a critical application component with mandatory identification marking per MIL-STD-130N, including manufacturer logos, lot numbers, and material identifiers. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 with zero non-conformances allowed unless otherwise specified, and attributes are assigned verification levels or AQLs based on their criticality. The manufacturing process may involve casting or forging, and any associated tooling not held by the government must be addressed via the DLA Casting and Forging Assistance Request portal. Only approved suppliers with specific part numbers are authorized, including SPS Technologies, Hi-Shear Corporation, LISI Aerospace, and Howmet Global Fastening Systems. The contract mandates packaging in accordance with ASTM D3951, but all DLA Master List requirements take precedence, and all packages must be marked and labeled per MIL-STD-129. Palletization follows DLA’s RP001 packaging requirements with a unit of issue of EA and a fixed quantity of five units. Delivery is FOB origin with zero variance allowed in quantity and must be completed within 171 days, with an original required delivery date of April 7, 2027. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, with goods to be shipped to the designated DLA warehouse in Tracy, California. Transportation compliance is governed by DLA procedural notes C19 and C20. The solicitation was issued on July 21, 2026, with responses due by July 29, 2026, under the contract number SPE4A6-26-T-08TK and NAICS code 332722, managed by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division.
