SDDC Freight Container Scales

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This notice does not constitute a solicitation or firm requirement. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is utilizing this Sources Sought for market research to determine if other vendors have the capability to fulfill this requirement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought Announcement. In accordance with DFARS 205.205-71 and PGI 206.302-1(d), ACC-RI is issuing this sources sought to seek sources capable of providing CW 500 Floor scales (10' x 20' - 60 K) 60,000X10LB (30,000X5KG), GP 1200 Indicators, and Forklift Channels for CW500. Scales need to be able to weigh a 20 foot container without the need of being loaded on a truck and be durable enough to continuously place a container on it utilizing a container handler. Scales must also be transportable and have the capability of weighing other type of cargo if needed. ACC-RI intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for the above requirement utilizing the authority at FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.
