The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering design, and environmental study, permitting and developing 30%, 60%, 90%, and final design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for improvements on SE Eastgate Way Sidewalk between Richards Road and 13212 SE Eastgate Way. The major features of the project are as follows: • Evaluate alternative cross sections: including lane width, shoulders, bike lane, width of planters, sidewalk width, barrier, and retaining wall type. • Develop criteria and select a preferred alternative. • Develop 30%, 60%, 90%, and final design plans, specifications and cost estimates. • Complete environmental study and permitting • Provide design support during construction • Other improvements and work associated with the sidewalk include, but are not limited to, site preparation, erosion and sediment control, storm drainage system, flow control and water quality facilities, environmentally sensitive area impact mitigation, irrigation, landscaping, channelization, retaining walls, signing, traffic control, and other mitigation as required. The A&E Professional Services Agreement with the successful Consultant firm will conform to all requirements outlined in the Using Consultants chapter of the WSDOT Local Agency Guideline (LAG) Manual. This project is federally funded. This project has zero percent as an FSBE Goal and a voluntary ten percent SBE goal.
