SEF2461 Purchase 2 Scale Trucks *Amendment 3*

The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, HQ State Equipment Fleet, is soliciting bids for the one-time purchase of two scale trucks to be used in Alaska. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a five percent preference applied to qualifying Alaska bidders. Bids must be submitted by November 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM, either via sealed physical delivery to Anchorage or as a PDF attachment emailed to the procurement officer. Required submission documents include completed bid price sheets, a conflict of interest statement, a weight scale ticket, and applicable preference certifications. The trucks must feature a heavy-duty flatbed body with a minimum 20-foot overall length, 102-inch width, and 1/4 inch thick diamond plate steel decking, along with a permanently mounted solid steel bulkhead. Technical specifications require safety glass throughout, an OSHA-approved self-adjusting back-up alarm, and a flush-mounted lighting system conforming to FMVSS specification 108. All labels must use permanent marking methods, and gauges and switches must be backlit for night operation. The contractor is required to maintain insurance policies throughout the performance period and must pass on all price decreases, such as fleet rebates, to the state. Prices must remain firm for 180 days following the bid opening. Equipment will not be considered accepted until all deficiencies are corrected and the units are delivered clean, free from defects, and filled to manufacturer-recommended fluid capacities. Payment for agreements under $500,000 will be made within 30 days of receipt of a proper billing or delivery.
