Bid #PWB473.0-26: The project involves the complete replacement of existing service fluid distribution systems, including hose reels, dispensing tips, and pumps for oil, grease, and coolant, at two active bus maintenance facilities: Kearny Mesa Division (KMD) and Imperial Avenue Division (IAD). The scope includes the demolition of old equipment and installation of new reels, pulse meters, and dispensing guns compatible with the existing fleet watch system. Work also entails flushing and repurposing some existing lines for new fluids, installing new barrel and AST pumps, and implementing a comprehensive labeling and color-coding system for all product lines. The contractor is responsible for providing all service fluids for system flushing and recharging. The project must be phased to minimize disruption to ongoing bus maintenance operations.
