Servicing and Re-certification of one (1) complete Marine Evacuation Slide

Solicitation N3220518Q6327, issued by the Department of Defense through Mschq Norfolk, requires the inspection, servicing, and re-certification of one complete Marine Evacuation Slide unit and one 100-person link life raft shore based spare. The scope of work includes pressure testing, part replacement, and certification in accordance with ABS HSNC regulations. The contractor is responsible for transporting the equipment from the MSC Storage Facility in Charleston, South Carolina, to an OEM certified representative's facility and subsequently delivering the items to the USNS City of Bismarck T-EPF-9. Due to the proprietary design and exclusive licensing from Liferaft System Australia, the procurement was identified as a sole source acquisition through Lifeline Inflatable Services, INC. under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This requirement was driven by unusual and compelling urgency to ensure the annual certification of the Marine Evacuation System for the USNS City of Bismarck.
