Sewer Lift Station S-29 Decommissioning and Force Main Replacement – Harbor Development Permit No. 26-015

Long Beach Utilities is seeking to decommission and abandon the Catalina Station Sewer Lift Station S-29 and replace existing force main infrastructure in Long Beach, California. The project involves the removal of a 3-inch PVC force main and the abandonment of approximately 700 lineal feet of a 10-inch asbestos cement force main. New installations include 858 lineal feet of a 6-inch sewer lateral and 471 lineal feet of a 10-inch high density polyethylene sewer force main, both requiring trenching through asphalt and soil. Additionally, the scope includes a trenchless installation of approximately 207 linear feet to place a 20-inch steel casing with a 10-inch HDPE carrier pipe specifically to serve the Queen Mary. This project is associated with Harbor Development Permit No. 26-015 and is managed through the Port of Long Beach and Long Beach Utilities.
