The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-FRE-55044-R4), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, the California Department of Transportation. The Project includes replacing a section of SR 168 with a viaduct structure while temporarily constructing a detour road using a welded wire retaining wall and associated removal of trees, other vegetation, gabion wall structures, and substrate along the lake shore within the Project area as well as restoring temporarily disturbed areas with seeding and plantings and recontouring the lake shore under the new viaduct. Amendment No. 1 changes the Project Description for the construction of the temporary detour road, adds the management of groundwater seepage, adds additional Avoidance and Minimization Measure and Reporting Measure, and updates the CDFW contact information.
