Sheedy Bridge Replacement (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-MAN-55333-R3).

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MAN-55333-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Clare Sheedy, to Sheedy Family. The Project is limited to the replacement of one bridge over Novato Creek. The existing bridge, comprised of wood planks and steel beam framing, is 10 feet wide by 42 feet long (420 square feet) and will be dismantled and removed with a crane from the top of bank on either side of the stream bank. The replacement bridge will be comprised of Verco Formlok decking and steel beams and will be 15.8 feet wide by 60 feet long and will span across the stream (spanning 42 feet across the stream). The existing abutments, rip rap and approaches will remain in place, as they do not impede the flow of the stream. The new concrete abutments, wingwalls, and ramp will be constructed above the top of bank of the stream. The Project will result in a net increase of 243 square feet (42 linear feet) of permanent impacts associated with shading the stream, there will be no temporary impacts associated with the project as work areas will occur on pre-disturbed graveled areas. No work will take place below top of bank and no trees will be removed.
