Aluminum alloy sheet metal, 0.063 inch thick, 48 inches wide and 144 inches long, must be supplied in whole-foot lengths only and conform strictly to specification SAE AMS4027P Revision D dated 04/01/2022 and ASTM B666/B666M-20, with material designated as Alloy 6061 Temper T6. The contract requires full compliance with DLA’s Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, including mandatory identification markings on every unit of issue, which must include the contract delivery order number, NSN, specification number and revision, alloy grade and temper, manufacturer’s name, heat and lot number, and dimensions. Markings must be applied via stamping or stenciling, be legible to the unaided eye, waterproof, and resistant to handling damage; adhesive labels are permitted for smaller bars, tubes, and shapes under 0.250 inch nominal OD. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with preservation in accordance with ASTM B660 and no use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds in preservation, packaging, or marking. The product is a critical application item with zero variance allowed in quantity, and delivery is required FOB origin to Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, within 123 days from the contract award, with an original required delivery date of January 1, 2027. Metal certification data must be submitted via CDRL-METALSCERT, and all supplies require full and open competition. The contract prohibits the intentional introduction of mercury except in specifically exempted items such as batteries, lights, sensors, or weapons systems, and mandates secondary containment for any portable devices containing mercury.
