DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS C- 1 - ITEM DESCRIPTION (a) Statement of Need. This solicitation is for the procurement of a commercial item to be used as Government-Furnished equipment / material in a future construction contract. (b) Item Description. 17'-0" diameter, 87' length, step-bevel, structural plate pipe; unassembled, packaged for long-term storage on platforms, skids, or other supports with assembly hardware stored in weather-proof containers on same storage supports. (c) Storage Location. The structural plate culvert materials shall be delivered to and stored at the Wind River Work Center located at 516 Marciana Street, Dubois, WY 82513 . (d) Period of Performance. 60 Days from the Notice to Proceed for fabrication after approval of Wyoming-certified Engineer-stamped shop drawings, calculations, and submittals. C- 2 - SPECIFICATIONS The requirements contained in the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP-03 (U.S. Customary Units) are hereby made a part of this solicitation and any resultant contract (i.e., Sections 515 and 603). The FP-03 can be accessed at: http://flh.fhwa.dot.gov/resources/pse/specs/fp-03/fp-03usc.pdf Special Project Specifications (SPS's) that amend the FP-03 are contained in Section J - Attachments. C- 3 - DRAWINGS The project drawings are a part of this solicitation and any resulting contract. They are contained in Section J - Attachments and are for design and fabrication only. C- 4 - DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS The supplier shall deliver to the storage location as listed in C-1 (c) above and will also be responsible for providing the equipment and operator for off-loading the material in the location as directed by the Contracting Officer.
