Grand County, Utah is seeking qualified proposers to provide Shuttle Attendant services at Arches National Park under solicitation GC10029, with proposals due on August 10, 2026 and an anticipated award date of August 18, 2026. The service involves staffing fare-free shuttle access points at Delicate Arch Trailhead, Windows Viewpoint, and Panorama Point to enhance visitor safety, navigation, and operational efficiency. Shuttle Attendants will provide orientation, manage parking flow, monitor capacity conditions, and relay real-time emergency and incident reports to National Park Service personnel via NPS-issued radios, strictly adhering to a “Report, Do Not Engage” protocol that prohibits enforcement actions. Contract performance spans two six-month periods—September 1 to October 31, 2026, and March 1 to June 30, 2027—with service required seven days a week and staffing levels flexible to accommodate surges, potentially up to four attendants simultaneously.
