The Air Force is modifying sole-source contract FA8202-11-M-0002 with Siemens Government Services to renew and expand licenses for Siemens NX, Schematics, and TeamCenter. These proprietary commercially available off-the-shelf applications are essential for the A-10 Program Office to sustain the Enhanced Wing Assembly CAD modeling system, provisioning data, and the TeamCenter database. Because Siemens is the only authorized provider of these tools and their associated technical support, the modification is being executed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). The primary objective of this modification is to increase the total number of licenses from 63 to 600 by adding 537 new licenses. This expansion is facilitated through the addition of CLIN 1008, with an initial period of performance from May 1, 2013, to June 30, 2013, followed by two one-year options under CLIN 2008 and 3008. The procurement ensures continued engineering capabilities and maintenance for the A-10 program.
