The City of Burnaby intends to award a direct contract to Simeio Solutions Canada Inc. for the renewal of Simeio IDaaS technical support. The contract is scheduled for the period from November 25, 2026, to May 24, 2027, with an estimated total value of $130,481.84, including taxes. This direct award is justified by the vendor's proprietary knowledge of the system, their proven track record in the supply and implementation of the IDaaS system to the city's satisfaction, and the fact that they are the only known provider of this specific technical support in Canada. Additionally, the city has determined that introducing a new vendor would lead to significant increases in costs and resource requirements. Under solicitation number 219-10-26, the city has issued a Notice of Intent, allowing other parties to submit a Letter of Objection via their online bidding portal by November 17, 2026. To be considered, any objecting party must provide specific reasons for their objection and demonstrate the experience and resources necessary to provide equivalent or superior services within the same timeframe.
