Single Source IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) - Furniture

This is a notice of the Government's intent to award a firm fixed price purchase order to a single source pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), where only a single source is reasonably available to provide the remaining executive classroom furniture configurations as a retrofit to accommodate an additional sixteen personnel. The estimated value of this order is $50K. The retrofit will ensure an exact match to existing, executive classroom furniture configurations for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Joint Special Operations University (JSOU). A portion of the requirement consists of pieces manufactured and provided under multiple GSA schedules, some of which will be customized to match existing pieces at USSOCOM JSOU. Full and open competition would result in unacceptable delays, duplicate costs to the Government, and risk of not obtaining an exact match to existing configurations. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received by 10:00 AM Eastern Time on 9 July 2018 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
