The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is seeking to enter into a single source contract with Apple, Inc. for the procurement of Apple products and proprietary software for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, with a not-to-exceed dollar amount of $135,000. This procurement covers hardware, software, services, and configure-to-order (CTO) products manufactured, distributed, or licensed under the Apple brand, including computers and operating system software classified under NAICS code 43211500 and 43233004. Apple, Inc. is identified as the sole source provider for all Apple products to K-12 education institutions in the United States, justifying the non-competitive acquisition under Florida statutes §287.057(3), §120.57(3), and Rule 60A-1.045, F.A.C. The contract will be performed in Florida and spans the entirety of the fiscal year. The solicitation number is SS-27-020, posted on July 7, 2026, with responses due by July 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM. While the contract is not open for competitive bidding, vendors who believe they can meet the requirements may submit information to the agency within the 15-business-day notice period to potentially challenge the sole source determination. Any protest must be filed in accordance with Chapter 120, Florida Statutes, or waiver of rights to contest the decision will occur. The primary point of contact for all inquiries and submissions is Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, reachable by email at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org. Payment, delivery, inspection, and packaging details are not specified, as this is a notice of intent rather than a full solicitation, and no competitive evaluation factors apply given the sole source nature of the procurement.
