The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) intends to enter into a single source contract with Phonak U.S. for the procurement of hearing aid parts and repair services specifically for Phonak and Roger brand devices during fiscal years 2024-2025, with an estimated value not exceeding $19,999.99. This decision is based on the fact that Phonak is the sole manufacturer and authorized US source for Roger products, which are sold directly to educational programs and cannot be resold. The contract emphasizes that all service and maintenance must be performed by Phonak’s designated national service center in Aurora, Illinois, to ensure warranty validity and compliance with service guidelines using original parts. No alternative providers are authorized or capable of supplying the necessary parts or repair services, making this a non-competitive, single source procurement. The solicitation was posted on June 26, 2024, with a response deadline of July 17, 2024. The contract is categorized as a solicitation for a single source provider and is intended for the State and Local Government Education sector (SLED). The contract size ranges from $15,000 to $20,000. Interested parties can contact Kim Whitwam via email or phone for further information, and additional details are accessible through the Florida Marketplace vendor portal.
