The Whitney M Young Job Corps is soliciting bids for a drainage project to be awarded by November 23, 2009. Small business are encouraged to bid. The intent of this Scope of Work is to correct the storm water drainage issues at the Whitney M Young Job Corps Center. The center storm water drainage issues include: 1. Install catch basin and culvert to outfall north of loop road. 2. Install catch basin, outfall to swale about 50' away. 3. Install catch basin, outfall to low point 300' away. 4. Build up grade, about 50' SF, at recreation entry, Install floor drain at northeast exterior exit well, pipe to positive outfall 100' away. 5. Install catch basin and culvert to outfall south approximately 300' away. 6. Re-grade area creating a swale to direct water around the building. Excavate approximately 1,000 CF. 7. Re-grade area creating a swale to direct water around the building. Excavate approximately 500 CF for items 1-3, cut and patch concrete sidewalk or asphalt road for drain installation. 8. Re-grade and road in front of Cafeteria Building 9. Approximately 100 feet of asphalt road to be regraded. 9. Re-grade area between Building 2 and 34 to direct water towards the East side of Building 2. Approximately 1,000 CF. A mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at the Whitney M Young Job Corps Center is tentatively scheduled for November 5, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
