The City of Atlanta, in partnership with the PATH Foundation, is soliciting a qualified consultant for the design of a paved shared use path connecting the Southside Beltline Trail to the Southtowne Trail at South Bend Park. The project is structured in two phases, with the current focus on Phase I, which extends from the Southside Trail to Pryor Road at Meldon Avenue. The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing and validating the 2021 concept report, preparing preliminary and final design plans, and developing the necessary NEPA documentation. This is a master contract delivered via task orders with a base period of three years and a one-year renewal option. The project consists of Texas Diabetes Institute (TDI) located at 701 S. Zarzamora, SA, TX. 78207. Construction documents dated April 2024, prepared by Architect and Engineering firms of O'Connell Robertson, Gessner Engineering, Intelligient Engineering Services and Coleman & Associates. Texas Diabetes Institute has been experiencing structural issues with the existing areas, due to soil heaving, causing the existing parking lot to become uneven and unstable and asphalt to shift. Additionally sidewalks have become uneven and unsafe to walk and landscaping is starting to erode on the West End of the building. The A/E team have developed a new design to help alleviate the structural issues by regrading and adding new retaining walls, mud slab under the building, grading plan, plants, and sprinkler system.
