Sealed bids will be electronically received via PennBid at 2:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Proposal documents can be obtained at no cost on PennBid, bids will be open privately. Bids are being received for the following contract.
Contract No. 2026-01 SITEWORK IMPROVEMENTS. The work includes site grading, site utilities, stormwater management, site lighting and seeding & restoration. The contract work shall include furnishing of all labor, tool, materials, equipment and all appurtenant items and work necessary to provide a complete and finished project.
Sealed proposals will be electronically received by Active Aging, Inc. through PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com until 2 PM prevailing time on June 24, 2026.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the project site located at 110 Canfield St., Cambridge Springs, PA 16403 at 2 PM prevailing time on June 16, 2026. It is mandatory that all prospective bidders attend this conference.
A certified check or bank draft payable to Active Aging, Inc. or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety company in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date of bid opening. In the event that the Bidder to whom the Notice of Intent to award has been issued fails to begin work on the date stipulated in the Notice to Proceed, the bid security shall then be forfeited and become property of Active Aging, Inc.
Pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents, the successful Bidder/Contractor shall furnish performance and payment bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price and the successful Bidder/Contractor shall furnish certificates of insurance to demonstrate compliance with the minimum coverages as set forth in the Contract Documents.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as established by the Pennsylvania Department of labor and Industry, must be paid on all projects with a construction cost in excess of $25,000, and the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, religious creed, color, ancestry, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identify), familial status, handicap or disability, mental or physical disability, use of guide or support animals because of blindness, deafness or physical handicap, or because the user is a handler or trainer of support or guide animals, or due to genetic information.
Attention is called to the fact that work performed under this Contract is subject to the requirements of Executive Order 11246 as amended, regarding equal opportunities and as describe within the Contract Documents.
Bids may be held by Active Aging, Inc. for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
Active Aging, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any formalities in the bidding.
