The Coronado National Forest is seeking quotes for the removal and reconstruction of approximately 3.47 miles of four strand barbed and smooth wire fencing near Deer Creek and Skeleton Canyon on the Douglas Ranger District. While the Forest Service provides most new fencing materials and delivers them on-site, the contractor is responsible for supplying all necessary concrete and water. The contractor must also manage the removal and disposal of old fencing materials and organize excess new materials in a government-designated area. Access to the site is limited to existing 4X4 roads, and the use of ATVs or other off-highway vehicles is strictly prohibited outside of these established roads. This project, identified by solicitation number R3-05-10-030, falls under NAICS code 238990. Interested vendors were required to download the full solicitation package from the official government website and coordinate site visits, which notably required the use of livestock for transportation to certain areas.
