SL500 Hardware and Install

NASA Shared Services Center is procuring SL500 Hardware and Install under a sole source contract awarded to YSI Inc. of Yellow Springs, Ohio, as the sole provider capable of supplying and installing the system, justified under FAR 12.102(a) for commercial items. The acquisition is governed by FAR Part 12 procedures and uses the NAICS code 334513 with no competition planned. Performance is primarily located at Nuiqsut Village, Alaska, with coordination handled through NASA’s Ames Research Center and logistics managed by NASA Ames ESPO. Deliverables include the SL500 and EXO2 real-time water monitoring systems, two specified cables (40-m power and 33-m flying lead), installation hardware such as an aluminum well, Schedule 40 and 80 aluminum pipes, stainless steel Unistrut, U-bolts, custom clamps for bridge pilings, and a custom shipping crate for all components. A YSI Field Engineer will be on-site for up to five days, with an option to extend by three additional days for installation and deployment, including the use of SonTek M9 and Surfbee for channel surveying.
