Slater-Marietta Gym Roof Replacement Project - General Contractors

The School District of Greenville County is soliciting sealed bids from general contractors for the remedial roof replacement at Slater-Marietta Elementary School, located at 100 Baker Circle, Marietta, South Carolina. The project involves the removal and disposal of existing modified bitumen roofing, insulation, and associated components across Roof Areas A1, B1, and B2, totaling approximately 11,960 square feet. Specifically, Roof Area A1 requires the removal of the existing wood plank deck. The installation phase includes a 60-mil adhered TPO roofing system, roof board insulation, flashings, sheet metal, gutters, and snowguards, all designed to ensure a daily watertight building envelope. The contractor must provide a 20-year manufacturer's warranty and a five-year warranty ensuring the work remains absolutely watertight and free from leaks. Bidders must submit a proposed scope of work, a unit price schedule, a schedule of values, a generic safety plan, and an interior protection plan. Due to the presence of lead-based paint on roof trusses in Area A1, contractors are required to submit a site-specific Lead Disturbance and Worker Protection Plan and adhere to OSHA and SCDES regulations. Compliance with EPA NESHAP regulations regarding asbestos is also mandatory. Payment will be processed monthly via AIA Forms G702 and G703, with the owner paying 90 percent of the value of stored materials and accomplished work upon certification by the designer.
