Full Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. Small Business Size Standard: (a) NAICS Code: 326199 (b) Nr. of Employees: 500 The purchase of 100 (ea) Sludge Containers to support the storage of dewatered wastewater treatment sludge prior to removal for recycling and disposal. Industrial Wastewater Treatment (IWTP) sludge is required to be stored in closed containers in accordance with the Robins AFB Hazardous Waste Storage Permit HW-064(S). The containers and lid strap system MUST meet the following specifications: a) Large, portable containers with a simple and reliable lid closure system that maintains a tight seal at all times. b) Containers require a lid that covers container with no visible gaps between lid and container. c) Containers need to be double walled for strength so there is no distortion between lid and container to maintain closure integrity. d) Containers require closed forklift access holes at the bottom of the container that enables the container to be flipped upside down for emptying. e) A single container must be able to hold materials with a total weight of 2,200 pounds. f) Containers must be approximately 4ft x 4ft x 4ft in size to fit under filling chute while accumulating approximately one ton of waste. g) MUST have a lid strap system that will not get out of adjustment (which would result in an open container violation). h) Container must meet container level 1 standards of 40 CFR 264.1086(c)(ii). The Government intends to award a FFP contract. Price(s) should be FOB Destination, Robins AFB GA 31098. In addition to price and delivery, quote should include your cage code, DUNS number, and taxpayer ID number. This solicitation will not result in an order against a Federal Supply Schedule; any offer which is predicated upon the award being placed against a FSS will not be considered.
