The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization is hosting a Vendor Outreach Session on March 17, 2016, from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm at the Homeland Security Acquisition Institute in Washington, DC. This event is specifically designed for Woman-Owned Small Businesses in recognition of Women's History Month and provides an opportunity for small business representatives to engage in pre-scheduled 15-minute meetings with Small Business Specialists from various DHS procurement offices. Prime Contractor Small Business Liaisons from major contractors with DHS will also be present, offering networking and discussing potential procurement opportunities. Attendance is free, but registration opens on March 10, 2016, at noon Eastern Time, and participants must register and sign up promptly due to limited availability. The session will take place at 90 K Street NE, Suite 1200, with detailed walking directions from the Union Station Metro provided for convenience. Parking is available in nearby garages for a fee, and all attendees must present government-issued photo identification to enter the building, with prior visitor information required 48 hours in advance, preventing last-minute changes.
