The General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Assisted Acquisition Service (AAS) is exploring a concept for a solution to the nation's contractual difficulties in transitioning SBIR Phase I and Phase II innovative ideas into SBIR Phase III awards, which implement the innovation and research into operational use. The government has invested heavily in small business innovation to bring new technologies to the government. Even with these efforts, the SBIR Phase III remains underserved by the greater Government community. Currently, there is no common contract vehicle or methodology to effectively bring SBIR III contractors to the governmentwide acquisition community in an efficient manner. GSA will be traveling to various locations around the country to speak to industry partners involved in the SBIR community. The ideal small business would be a successful SBIR Phase III company and/or companies who have experienced challenges in obtaining SBIR Phase III awards. GSA would also like to meet with venture capital firms who invest in small businesses pursuing SBIR awards. GSA will host a series of one-on-one sessions with as many industry partners practicable on a first come, first served basis. Each session will be scheduled for no more than 30 minutes. The exact meeting location will be provided via email once a response is received to this notice and a completed registration is received. The following includes the location and dates of the Industry Outreach events: Location: Los Angeles, CA Dates: August 24 - 25, 2022 Location: San Diego, CA Dates: September 7-8, 2022 Location: Colorado Springs, CO Dates: September 13, 2022 Location: Salt Lake City, UT Dates: September 15, 2022 Location: Washington DC Dates: September 27-29, 2022 Location: Dayton, OH Dates: October 4, 2022 Location: Detroit, MI Dates: October 6, 2022 Location: Huntsville, AL Dates: October 25-27, 2022 Location: San Francisco, CA Dates: November 8-9, 2022 Location: Boston, MA Dates: November 15, 2022 Location: New York, NY Dates: November 17, 2022 Location: San Antonio, TX Dates: December 6-8, 2022 Location: Tampa, FL Dates: January 24, 2023 Location: Atlanta, GA Dates: January 26, 2023 Location: Albuquerque, NM Dates: February 7, 2023 Location: Phoenix, AZ Dates: February 9, 2023 For the one-on-one meetings, companies are permitted one time slot per company. If there are multiple registrants, the first registration received by GSA will be the one booked. Companies are limited to two people participating in the one-on-ones. All meeting sessions are in-person. The first session will take place at 9:00am and the last session will be scheduled at 4:45pm local time. We will schedule as many sessions as we can accommodate during these times. Meetings are planned to take place in hotel meeting rooms, Government facilities, or other informal settings. If interested, please register for a meeting at one of the geographic locations mentioned above. Online registration will be available until all available meeting slots are filled. Once the in-person calendar is full, or if the company desires a virtual meeting in lieu of an in-person meeting, GSA will schedule virtual meetings during non-travel weeks for interested parties.
