Based on enrollment, the District is the seventh-largest school district in Virginia. With nearly 40,000 students and 6,000 employees in 56 schools and centers, the District is committed to providing excellence in education for the children of Chesapeake. The Chesapeake Public School System is an equal educational opportunity school system.
