NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson ABW, Alaska intends to award a sole source order to General Atomics International Services Corporation, doing business as Cryotech Deicing Technology, for the purchase of sodium acetate solid deicer (NaAc). The only AMS 1431 Sodium Acetate Runway Deicer approved for use on the F-22 aircraft on JBER is Cryotech NAAC. Any other deicer product could significantly degrade F-22 coatings and cause maintenance or operational issues with the aircraft. Vendors/Brands interested in testing their AMS 1431 Sodium Acetate Solid Runway Deicer for F-22 Program Office approval, please contact The Lockheed Martin Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineering Team POC Ms. Bethany Behm, bethany.behm@lmco.com. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and "Other than Full and Open Competition" as authorized by FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is 6 May 2019. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 22 April 2019 at 04:00 pm Alaska Daylight Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
