--Software/CPU/Monitor Upgrades

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source purchase to Agilent Technologies Inc.,2850 Centerville Road BU3-2, Wilmington, DE for the purchase of Software/CPU/Monitor Upgrades. Agilent Technologies Inc. i s the only source that can meet specifications to be compatible with an existing system. Agilent Technologies Inc. has the only equipment that will function with our established existing technology. Agilent Technologies Inc. has the proprietary software/ hardware and no other vendor can provide this technology and integrate it with the existing software/hardware configuration. Software/hardware by a third party vendor will invalidate current and future data. Other vendors are not part of the global service agreement that covers the existing equipment. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchsa e will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
