The Brandon Fire District No. 1 (hereby “BFD No. 1”) has received funding through the Municipal Energy Resilience Program (MERP), administered by the State of Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS), to implement energy efficiency and resiliency measures at the Fire Department Station (61 Franklin Street) and the Fire District Office (59 Franklin Street). The Scope of Work for MERP includes the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel system in accordance with current engineering design standards and/or installer recommendations, as funding allows under Act 172 (H.518).
