Full Description

This is not a solicitation. This is to announce that a contract for six months was issued as a sole source requirement, due to the government shutdown delays beyond the expiration date of the previous contract (FA6648-11-C-00003). This action was taken to allow enough time to properly execute a contract consisting of a basic period of one year and four (4) additional option years or as instructed by AFRC-A7K. This was done under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b(1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and Authority of FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency. Since unusual and compelling urgency precludes full and open competition, and delay in award of a contract would result in serious injury, financial or other, to the Government.
