SOLE SOURCE EAST PENN FORKLIFT BATTERY

The Navy is procuring a single high-impact shock battery, model 18-G75-27EE, manufactured by East Penn Manufacturing Co. (CAGE 04055), under a sole-source solicitation due to its classification as a Critical Safety Item essential for forklift operations aboard MSC vessels, where only the original equipment manufacturer is authorized to supply such components. The requirement is being pursued under a firm-fixed-price contract consistent with RFO Part 12, with the anticipated award date set for May 2026.
