N0016419Q0127 - SOLE SOURCE - MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF SEMICONDUCTOR TEST SYSTEMS - FSC J066 - NAICS 334516 Anticipated Issue Date 18 March 2019 - Anticipated Closing Date 18 April 2019 - 2:00 PM EST Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement to procure continued combined maintenance and service contract on the Zeiss NVision 40 Crossbeam (SN NV40-3813) and the Zeiss ULTRA PLUS SEM (SN 4330). This is required in order to maintain the Zeiss instruments in an operational state so they can be reliably used for failure and material analysis investigations of samples. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Carl Zeiss Microsopy LLC, 1 Zeiss Dr. Thornwood, NY 10594-1939 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced because Carl Zeiss Microsopy LLC is the only company capable of performing the maintenance and service requirements for the Zeiss NVision 40 Crossbeam and the Zeiss ULTRA PLUS Scanning Electron Microscope. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
