Full Description

The 2nd Contracting Squadron has a requirement for Unitron LP to furnish a commercial power converter for military airplane avionic systems located at Barksdale AFB, LA. This product is a Unitron LP product and is compatible with the data link radios located throughout the DoD. With the Unitron power supply, data link radios that would normally only be functional on airplanes can be used in communications labs merely on commercial wall power- no further need for an aircraft power carts. The 2nd Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 2nd Contracting Squadron intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with Unitron LP, 10925 Miller Rd., Dallas, TX 75238-0902. The NAICS code for this procurement is 335999 with a size standard not to exceed 1000 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
