SOLIDWORKS Service Renewals; Base and Two Options

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE. The Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) of the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Redstone Arsenal Alabama, is seeking to renew the SOLIDWORKS Software Subscription Service with Lyme Computer Systems (LCS), Inc. (CAGE Code: 1BS14). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, the award will be made sole source to Lyme Computer Systems, Inc. Lyme Computer Systems is the sole source for renewals and new licenses on GSA schedule for the SOLIDWORKS Software with a GSA scheduled discount. Background: SOLIDWORKS is solid modeling Computer Aided Design (CAD) software which the PIF uses to design products and develop Technical Data Packages for the Army. SOLIDWORKS Software provides application-specific tools for sheet metal, weldments, surfacing, mold and die design, and routed systems that are absolutely paramount for the PIF's operations. SOLIDWORKS Simulation is used to validate PIF designs early in the design phase. SOLIDWORKS Simulation tells the engineer how well designs will hold up under extreme wind, heat, water, pressure and other conditions. Fully integrated with the design process, SOLIDWORKS sustainability tools help the user make more informed design decisions about materials, sourcing, manufacturing, use, and disposal, in real-time, prior to manufacturing. SOLIDWORKS and its modules, have been a critical tool for the PIF for 17 years; without it, the PIF could not perform its mission.
