AI Contract Overview
This is a sources sought announcement issued by the Marine Corps Information Operations Center in Quantico, Virginia, to identify potential small business sources for the sole-source procurement of one InBody 770S Body Composition Analyzer. The acquisition is justified under MARADMINS Number 586/24, which designates the InBody 770S as the only approved bioimpedance analysis device for the United States Marine Corps, eliminating competitive alternatives and necessitating a non-competitive acquisition under FAR 6.302-1. The announcement is strictly for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, nor does it obligate the government to issue a future contract or accept any responses. All respondents must be small businesses as this is a total small business set-aside under FAR 19.5, and submissions must include company name, address, phone number, point of contact, CAGE code, small business status, and ownership information distinguishing U.S. from foreign-owned firms. Responses must be emailed to Sergeant Jacob Espinosa no later than 10:00 AM EST on Friday, 24 July 2026, with no physical submissions or quotations accepted. The place of performance is the Marine Corps Information Operations Center in Quantico, Virginia, and while the device to be procured is clearly specified, no pricing, delivery schedule, inspection criteria, or contract terms are included in this notice. The attached Brand Name Justification provides additional context for the exclusivity of the InBody 770S, and no evaluation factors, payment details, or invoicing methods are defined at this stage, as this is a pre-solicitation market research effort limited to identifying qualified small business vendors capable of supplying the approved device.
