AI Contract Overview
The contractor is required to deliver comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair services for DVR autoclave equipment, including all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, and technical expertise. Preventive maintenance involves four scheduled visits per year, approximately every 90 days, beginning within 30 days of contract award and conducted during regular business hours Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. All maintenance activities must align with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards to ensure optimal equipment performance. Emergency repair services must initiate within 24 hours of notification, excluding weekends and holidays, with repairs completed within five business days after a detailed quote is submitted and approved by the Contracting Officer’s Representative when parts or materials are needed. Replacement parts and materials are not included in the base maintenance fee and require separate government funding following quote approval; all components must be specifically designed for the autoclaves and available with 24-hour delivery and installation capability. Documentation is critical, requiring PM inspection reports within five working days after each service, same-day service and repair reports, and weekly status updates on any inoperative equipment submitted by close of business each Friday. The solicitation, issued by the National Institutes of Health under the Department of Health and Human Services, is a total small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 811210, and is aimed at securing services at a designated location in Bethesda, Maryland.
