Non-structural aircraft equipment can be modified, e.g., fairings, steps and InfraRed (IR) light brackets, as part of Removable Mission Equipment (RME). The mount must provide secure carriage up to 160 KTS in the stowed position. The EMGS, with the gun mounted on it, must not interfere with the cabin and/or cockpit door. All ammo cans will be mounted externally to the cabin. EMGS power subassembly may be installed in the cabin or externally, if installed in the cabin it must not prevent the installation of any currently authorized mission equipment. Must be able to provide analysis that all wire routing meets Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) and USN airborne wiring requirements as detailed in MIL-STD-464 and SAE AS5088 1F. Static strength capability must meet MIL-STD-8591 external store crash loads detailed below: Longitudinal 9g forward/4.5g aft Lateral +/-3.75g Vertical 9g down/2.25g up Must be able to provide analyses showing the entire gun installation structure, to include the airframe attachment points, can meet static strength capability pertaining to crash load criteria. Must not degrade the AVCS performance. Must be able to provide data that characterizes the gun vibratory effects on USN AVC systems will be required.
