The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, tools, materials, transportation and labor to provide and maintain recirculating parts washers using solvent recycling and waste minimization practices.
Scope of Work. Recirculating parts washers shall include lighting and filtration to maintain solvent effectiveness between service intervals. It shall also have a permanent and conspicuous label posted on or near the parts washer or immersion cleaner summarizing proper operating procedures to minimize emissions. All immersion cleaners shall have a minimum freeboard ratio of 0.70, when the width is measured at the solvent surface level. All waste and solvents from the recirculating parts washers and immersion cleaners shall be manifested under the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest System, if not re-used. Coordination with the 802d Civil Engineering Squadron (802 CES)/CEIEC is required.
