The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of supplying a single Pulse Generator that meets specified technical requirements. This sources sought announcement is not a solicitation or request for quotation and does not obligate the government to award a contract. It is intended solely to gather information on potential suppliers, assess market availability, and determine whether a small business set-aside is feasible. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, HUBZone firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and veteran-owned small businesses, as well as large businesses. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334515, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Interested parties must submit an electronic capability statement, limited to five pages, containing the company profile with employee count, location, UEI, and CAGE code; the name of the entity providing the product and the manufacturer with country of origin; specification sheets or product examples meeting NIST’s requirements; typical lead time including delivery, installation, and training; verification of small business status; and any additional relevant information. Company brochures or marketing materials will not be accepted. Responses must be submitted by July 24, 2026, to the point of contact listed. Based on the findings, NIST may proceed with a competitive procurement via SAM.gov. No payment will be provided for submissions, and participation in this market research does not guarantee future contract opportunities.
