South Tahoe Greenway - Upper Truckee River Bridge at Johnson Meadow

The South Tahoe Greenway - Upper Truckee River Bridge at Johnson Meadow project involves the construction of a Class 1 shared-use trail in South Lake Tahoe, California, within El Dorado County. Funded by a grant of up to 2,000,000 dollars from the California Tahoe Conservancy, the scope of work includes the construction of a bridge crossing over the Upper Truckee River, boardwalk and pathway improvements, signage, and drainage enhancements. These efforts are specifically designed to improve water quality and reduce the discharge of pollutants and sediment into the river. The project has been approved by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and the Tahoe Resource Conservation District, with environmental clearances finalized under the California Environmental Quality Act.
